Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how CookieComply ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the product is used. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) may be used for the same purposes.

2. How we use cookies

We group cookies into the categories shown in our consent banner:

CategoryPurposeLegal basis
NecessarySecurity, authentication, load balancing, remembering your cookie choicesLegitimate interests / contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(f)/(b) GDPR)
AnalyticsProduct analytics and performance (PostHog EU Cloud) — page views, feature usage, Core Web VitalsConsent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
MarketingNewsletter and marketing-related tools when you opt inConsent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)

Necessary cookies cannot be disabled. Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default until you opt in via the banner or Cookie settings in the footer.

3. Analytics (PostHog)

When you accept analytics cookies we use PostHog Cloud EU as a processor. Events are sent through a same-origin reverse proxy on our domain (/ccph) so your browser talks to us first.

  • IP addresses are anonymized where configured.
  • Session replay is not enabled.
  • Autocapture of clicks is disabled; we rely on explicit product events.
  • If you reject analytics cookies, PostHog may still receive limited cookieless aggregate signals that do not set analytics cookies (cookieless_mode: on_reject).

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time via Cookie settings.

4. Marketing

Marketing preference is stored with your consent choice. We only run marketing-related actions (for example newsletter signup flows that depend on marketing consent) when that preference is enabled. You can change this anytime in Cookie settings.

5. Managing cookies

  • Use our consent banner on first visit, or Cookie settings in the footer.
  • You can also clear cookies / site data in your browser; you may need to set preferences again afterward.

6. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when our tools or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date on this page reflects the current version.

7. Contact

Questions about cookies or privacy: use the contact details in our Privacy Policy.
